Job Description:
Our Ottawa based client is looking for two Business Architects for a contract position running from December 7th, 2009 - March 31st, 2010.

All candidates must possess Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities of the Business Architect resources will include, but not limited to:

-Analyzing current architecture and recommending ways to optimize the utilization of available tools
-Assist in the configuration of tools such as:

-MS SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services
-MS SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services, and
-MS SQL Server 2005 Integration Services

-Identifying complimentary tools (eg dashboard capability) to enhance the functionality and value for stakeholders
-Participate in information gathering sessions to assemble stakeholders expectations, data availability and system requirements as related to Spend Managements Solutions reporting requirements
-As required by the Technical Authority (TA), the preparation and delivery of briefing notes and presentations for senior management
-Related to the SOW, present strategies for approval at various levels within the governance structure, and
-Report progress of the project on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the life cycle
-Subject to the TAs discretion, coordinate projects, identify resource requirements and meet deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have::
  • a degree in any field from a recognized university or college diploma in administration
  • forty eight months of demonstrated management experience within the last eight years
  • twenty four months of demonstrated experience, within the last sixty months in evaluating, recommending and or implementing business architecture transformation involving both organizational and business process informations
  • worked on a number of goverment of Canada projects of similar nature involving business architecture support
  • experience working and delivering objectives with centralized agencies as well as across multiple departments
  • experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools on similar projects
  • experience with dashboard technologies and development
  • experience recommending technological architectures for the delivery of Business Intelligence and Reporting structures
  • extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005, including the Reporting, Analysis and Integration Service components
  • system development expertise and programming experience related to software and technology
